Leather Skirt To The Office – Yes You Can!

By  |  6 Comments

Black is modest and arrogant at the same time

Black is not only an auxiliary color, but for many of us the color that we wear at almost every occasion, in every season. Let’s face it, black is the most important colour in our wardrobe.

All black outfit to the office

This is the first in a series of posts in which we’ll talk about how to style the leather skirt and look professional and sophisticated. You will also see a lot of black. And I really hope you are with me on this one, because black can be fun as well! When we have a formal event, we always draw upon black for its elegance and simplicity. For this reason, black is so popular among office looks.

Keep in mind that if you choose an all black outfit to the office, you have to pay attention to the details such as the fabrics and accessories.

The leather skirt is the new skirt for work

For this outfit, we have chosen a leather skirt which I know that for some may be a bit risky. But if you wear it with a basic black shirt, keep the accessories simple. You can even add colourful footwear, as I did with my animal print shoes.

As you can see, mixing leather and leopard is possible. To keep it chic and feminine, you should go for good fabrics, classic design and pure lines. Another advice is not to wear high heels because it may change the outfit entirely, making it appear less formal, more provocative and for many corporations even “inappropriate”.
We opted for a leather bag in a “Chanel” style but any black simple handbag would be a good choice.

Hope you like the outfit!

And if you don’t know how to style an item, just let us know and we will do it for you!

      Hello,

Uh, sounds really cool. I would wear it with a white shirt, classic line, simple and great quality and beige heels.
And as a second combination, just imagine red leather skirt with with a beige sweater and brown boots!
Thanks for your suggestion! Made me really thinking of buying a red leather skirt.
      Hugs!

      Hello there,
I have two leather skirts: this one and another one that is more suitable for casual occasions or during winter with black tights. The other one is shorter and it’s from Mango (but looks amazing!).
I am looking in stores for suede skirts, but when I see that everybody is wearing them, I’m get a bit… unmotivated to buy and wear one :)
I hope you understand the feeling.

      Keep in touch, Andreea

did you ever post in your blog wearing the other leather skirt?
i disagree with you, wearing a mid suede skirt is more original that wearing a leather skirt now

    Hey Bremont,
I don’t photos with the other skirt because it’s shorter and for office, I have to wear it with black mat tights.

And yes, midi suede skirts may be trendy, but there are not for me, not for my body shape. From all trends I choose what fits me and what feels comfortable to me, to my personality and body shape. That’s why I don’t have one – because I didn’t find one to look great on me.
If I’m going to take photos with the other leather skirt, I’ll let you know!
    Hugs!
